Cryptomator is an open-source tool that creates transparently encrypted vaults inside your existing cloud storage folders (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or any local folder). Each file and folder name is encrypted individually using AES-256 and WebDAV/SFTP for mounting. Unlike VeraCrypt which creates one giant encrypted blob, Cryptomator encrypts per-file — so sync tools only upload the files that changed.
