Coursera Cybersecurity Courses

14 specialisations and certificate paths, sifted down from a catalogue that is mostly noise — ethical hacking, exploitation, SIEM, AI for security, and university-taught security architecture.

A word on what these are worth before you spend money. Coursera's strength is the theory an autodidact skips: cryptography that starts from the maths, network architecture taught properly, the governance and risk material that decides whether you are ever promoted past senior analyst. Its weakness is equally consistent — the labs are lightweight, and a certificate here proves you watched the course, not that you can do the work. Pair anything on this page with a platform that makes you actually break something, and treat the certificate as evidence of study rather than of skill. Note too that vendor-branded professional certificates are marketing assets as well as courses; they are genuinely useful and they are also a funnel, and both things are true at once.
